Key Responsibilities
As a Delivery Manager, you will:
- Understand when and how to employ Agile and Delivery Management techniques to get the best result.
- Coach team members, CDIO and HMRC stakeholders in Delivery Management and Agile techniques.
- Monitor and facilitate effective delivery progress.
- Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement and identify and remove blockers to delivery.
- Understand and be able to interpret the needs of business and technical stakeholders and manage expectations successfully.
- Lead, develop and motivate multidisciplinary teams to deliver value.
- Create the right environment for teams to succeed, helping them self-organise and create a culture of learning, collaboration and transparency.
- Use a range of methodologies, mainly within an Agile environment, to monitor and forecast delivery team’s work as well as create a motivating environment to focus on what is most important to the delivery and allow the team to succeed.
- Work within a delivery team throughout the delivery lifecycle, to deliver value and change, usually within the context of wider projects and programmes.
- Use your knowledge and experience of Delivery Management or Agile to coach and mentor teams and colleagues
- Be an active member of the Delivery Manager community.
- Use a variety of team forming, norming and storming techniques to build self-sufficient and empowered teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to produce a favourable outcome.
