HMRC CUSTOMER SERVICE ADVISOR - HELP FOR DISABLED STAFF.

Anonymous asked a question to Sue

Dear Sue, The ad states it's 6-12weeks,full time, 9-5. Are there reasonable adjustments for disabled people?do they offer online training from home as was the case during the pandemic?Do you recommend the job for anyone with mental health/anxiety issues?Apologies for the poor construction of this Q!

I don't have experience in a Customer Service Advisor role but HMRC makes many reasonable adjustments for disabled staff. You will discuss a workplace passport with your manager which is reviewed 6 monthly to ensure your needs are being met. There is an element of hybrid working in HMRC but each area is different so I can't say if this applies to the training for this area. I'm assuming the 6-12 weeks full time, 9 - 5, is the training schedule? You will need to contact the postholder to confirm what adjustments are available for this training period or ask this question at interview stage.
