Assistant Investigation Hub Officers will be responsible for delivering Core services, covering a variety of activities and are part of every criminal and civil investigation carried out by HMRC.

They will provide excellent service to a range of customers, supporting investigations through activities such as:
• Interrogating departmental systems, preparing standard intelligence packs and standardising and interpreting data.
• Procurement of essential items and management of associated budgets.
• Developing professional stakeholder relationships with investigators to support planning and delivery.
• Managing property and vehicles, as part of which you may be required to drive an official vehicle for reasons such as return of evidence, property retrieval or for vehicle maintenance / repairs.

Person specification

Identifying, through conversations and outcomes of quality assurance processes, any development needs and ensure these are communicated to your line manager.

Developing a professional relationship with local investigators and case teams.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across FIS to build skills, capabilities, share best practice and deliver business objectives.

Vehicle Fleet maintenance - ensuring the Fleet is ready for use by conducting vehicle checks, taking cars to MOT's.

Be able to work at other locations should the business need arise.

Essential Criteria
  • A full driving licence and a willingness to drive on official business weekly - see details below.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly both written & verbally.
  • An ability to pay particular attention to detail, to support and assure the work of others.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Applicants must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office O365 products, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently & as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria
• A basic understanding of criminal and civil investigations.

Security Information

You must hold Security clearance at SC Level or be willing to obtain the clearance if your application is successful, prior to take up of duty. Permanent appointment is conditional on obtaining security clearance at SC level.

A Full UK Driving Licence

    Sift
