You will lead the operational delivery and capability development of HMRC's key Compliance risking and analytical capabilities. Your work will enable partners across Customer Compliance Group (CCG) to fully exploit HMRC's data and intelligence, to effectively identify and address tax compliance risks. You be responsible for:

Delivery of core analytical services and functions: Maintaining and developing an effective and reliable live service and support function for RIS' data and risking services. Delivered through:
- Maintaining an effective, engaged, and capable workforce.
- Ensuring effective disaster recovery plans and incident reporting are in place.
- Proactive risk management; identifying vulnerabilities and implementing contingencies.

DevOps enhancement of analytical services and functions: Senior Business leadership for the prioritisation of service enhancements, financial management, investment bids and development, and delivery of service and product enhancement - all linked to clear business outcomes (e.g. recovery of revenue).
- Managing successful ingestion and adoption of new and additional third-party data sources.

Ensuring regulatory and legislative compliance: Ensure that all data management practices, with regards the analytical services managed by RIS, comply with relevant regulations, standards, and government prioritise (such as DPIAs and GDPR).

Compliance Data Innovation programme: Lead the RIS Data Innovation programme that uses latest tools and analytical techniques to exploit data, analytical and automation opportunities to deliver improved Compliance outcomes and efficiencies across HMRC.
Data sharing: Facilitation of data sharing with other government departments for compliance purposes, in line with the Government's desire for better transfer of information and insight across the Public Sector.

- Delivering consistently high-quality data and risking services and products
- Developing our core capabilities to improve the quality of services and products that we provide
- Coordinating innovation work across the Risk and Intelligence Service, maximising impact on the work of our compliance teams and linking in with Spending review activity
- Efficient and effective sharing of data across government
- Ingesting new data to improve risking services
- Ensuring that RIS remains compliant with data regulations
- Leading circa 70 highly skilled professionals across 6 teams delivering a range of specialist professional and analytical capabilities

- Proven capability in leading a service delivery operation, and achieving service and capability improvement
- Strong senior stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
- Experience of leading in an analytical and technological environment
- Experience in leading teams, specifically through transformational change and ambiguity
