Performance Analyst - Hybrid - 3 Month Contract

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Performance Analyst to join our Digital Services team. You’ll play a key role in delivering data-driven insights that improve service performance, enhance user experience, and support strategic decision-making. This is a hands-on role where you’ll collaborate with developers, designers, and researchers to shape digital services that meet user needs and business goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for digital services.
  • Use SQL and other tools to extract, interpret, and present meaningful insights.
  • Build and maintain Performance Frameworks across the Agile lifecycle.
  • Ensure data accuracy, quality, and relevance in all analysis.
  • Collaborate with developers to implement audit tracking and resolve live service issues.
  • Apply statistical techniques to assess the impact of service iterations.
  • Support user-centred design by embedding data into product decision-making.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights and recommendations to improve services.
  • Create engaging data visualisations using tools like Power BI, Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Analyse user behaviour to drive customer-centric improvements.
  • Communicate data stories to stakeholders to inform design and development.
  • Ensure services meet performance standards set out in the Service Standard.
  • Actively contribute to the Performance Analyst community, sharing best practices and innovations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in performance analysis or a similar data-driven role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with:
    • Power BI
    • Google Analytics
    • Google Tag Manager
    • Looker Studio
    • Excel / Google Sheets
  • Strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative data sources.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience working in Agile teams and with User-Centred Design (UCD) approaches.
  • Minimum capability at SFIA Level 4.
