Project Support Officer
Key Responsibilities
Lead the finance/Commercial strategy planning, execution, ensuring the projects within the RIOAI prog are managed within the budget and right approaches to commercial strategies adhered
Anticipate and manage finance/Commercial risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints at all levels
Build strong and trusted relationships with SRO/Programme Managers, senior leaders, partners, and external stakeholders.
Act as the key point of escalation for project/programme finance matters and commercial risks and issues ensuring effective resolution of challenges.
Communicate progress finance risk, commercial risks clearly, tailoring messaging for diverse audiences, including boards and senior executives.
Establish and maintain robust project/programme level finance governance frameworks that provide transparency, accountability, and assurance.
Ensure commercial compliance with organisational standards, policies, and wider regulatory frameworks.
Champion best practice in project and programme delivery, embedding effective methodologies and tools.
Shape finance planning (forecasting) within the wider delivery function.
Take ownership of budgets, commercial strategies , and ensuring value for money and effective allocation of funding.
Skills & Experience
Proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-risk, or high-value projects/programmes.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at senior levels.
In-depth knowledge of project delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2, MSP) and their practical application.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
Financial and commercial acumen, with experience managing complex budgets and supplier relationships.
Experience building, developing, and leading diverse teams in complex delivery environments.
