Role Overview

  • Seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with expertise in ServiceNow product and delivery.

  • Role sits within the Service Transition team, supporting the implementation of:

    • ServiceNow Service Discovery, Mapping, and Modelling.

    • ITIL v4 IT Service Management practices.

  • Focus is on embedding technical capabilities into the business through:

    • Training, communications, and operational readiness.

    • Ensuring long-term sustainability post-project completion.

Outcome

  • Understand and capture user and business needs.

  • Collaborate with Transition, Delivery, and Scrum teams.

  • Ensure successful service transition of ServiceNow capabilities into HMRC.

Role Description

  • Hands on senior BA experience supporting IT service change transitions into live environments.

  • Operate within ITIL 4 Practices, across service management and supplier teams.

  • Help define and align Service Delivery vision and strategy with industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse and document user and business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.

  • Support transition into Business-as-Usual (BAU) teams, ensuring:

    • Effective user consumption of deliverables.

    • Full benefits realisation within a large government organisation.

  • Lead and contribute to structured workshops and visual presentations using modelling tools.

  • Share best practices and mentor others within the Business Analysis profession.

  • Act as a confident and influential member of the BA community.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience in Business Analysis or similar analytical roles.

  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing service transitions into BAU.

  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary IT teams.

  • Strong knowledge of analysis tools and techniques.

  • Effective leadership and stakeholder management skills.

  • Solution-focused mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Track record of building and maintaining positive professional relationships.

  • Understanding of Government Digital and Data frameworks.

  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and other delivery methodologies.
