Purpose
Lead the creation of clear, accessible, and engaging content and motion design that:
Communicates change messages effectively.
Helps colleagues adopt NextGen Services quickly, with AI as the default approach.
Extends reach through social media and visual storytelling.
Enhances user experience through high-quality animations and motion graphics.
You will play a key role in shaping content standards, mentoring others, and using design and animation to communicate insights, challenges, and future vision across the organisation.

Engagement uplift: Increased CTR, read time, and completion rates for key content and visual assets.
Content maturity: Standardised, reusable content and motion design patterns across the Operations Office.

Priority Deliverables
AI-driven content pipeline: Prompt patterns, review gates, tone/voice guidelines, accessibility checks.
Flagship content assets: Playbook summaries, FAQs, change packs, guidance pageseach with A/B testing and analytics tracking.
Social media toolkit: Templates for posts, short-form video/storyboards, alt-text patterns, image prompts, editorial calendar, and governance for approvals.
Motion design artefacts: High-quality animations and motion graphics to support service design, user research, and stakeholder engagement.
Workshop materials: Engaging visual artefacts for co-creation and ideation sessions.
Training & handover: Short sessions for non-specialists on safe and effective use of enterprise AI tools.
Mentorship: Support and guide designers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Essential Experience
Proven experience in content design and motion graphics within complex environments.
Hands-on generative AI content creation, including:
Prompt engineering.
Iterative drafting.
Human-in-the-loop review.
Bias and safety controls.
Strong understanding of animation principles, typography, colour theory, and layout.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, and tools like Blender.
Social media content execution (copy + assets), analytics, and experimentation (A/B and multivariate testing).
Applying accessibility standards to both written and visual/motion design.
Ability to translate policy or technical topics into plain English guidance.
Using design and animation to communicate complex ideas and future direction clearly.
Nice-to-Have
Experience with GDS content design standards.
Familiarity with ITIL service management content and operating model playbooks.
Experience in designing strategically, considering organisational goals and constraints.
Active participation in design communities and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Core Skills
Design Communication: Clearly explain design choices to build consensus and highlight risks.
Designing Together: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create cohesive visual narratives.
Iterative Design: Prototype, test, and refine content and animations based on feedback and user research.
