At UBS People, Process & Technology (PPT), we update, manage and continually improve many key products to enable colleagues to focus on work that matters. As a member of the team, you'll design and shape user-centred software that simplifies HR, finance and procurement services across the Unity platform, adding more automation into many of our existing processes, integrating system complexities, and improving user experiences at scale. Job description
As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will design, build, and improve user facing platform services to meet user needs and government standards. You will provide hands-on technical leadership, help set frontend direction and design, and ensure services are accessible, secure, and performant.

We are seeking a skilled Frontend low code no code developer to help design and deliver high-quality, enterprise-level solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders - including user researchers, product managers, designers, business analysts, delivery managers, and solution architects - to improve corporate services through innovative, modern technology solutions.

You will contribute to platform enhancements, vendor led updates, and continuous improvement across a wide range of enterprise applications and tools, supporting our commitment to delivering better services and fostering ongoing learning and development led updates, and continuous improvement across a wide range of enterprise Platforms & Technologies. The tools and platforms you are likely to work with are mainly, but not limited to:

SAP BTP, BDApp, Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Virtual Agents).

As a Senior Frontend Developer.

Design, build, maintain, and document high-quality low code/no code and solutions in line with best practice and internal standards.
Design, develop, test, and maintain complex frontend applications using modern web technologies and progressive enhancement principles.

Support clear articulation of user needs vs business needs, balancing user accessibility, performance and long-term maintainability.

Set, uphold, and promote code quality standards and WCAG through peer review, testing, documentation, and quality assurance activities.
Provide technical and non-technical knowledge share dependent on audience visualising prototypes to other frontend developers and business colleagues.

Collaborate with designers, user researchers, product managers, and other delivery roles to translate user needs and user stories into effective technical solutions.

Contribute to communities of practice and continuous improvement across platforms, tools, and delivery approaches.

Ensure product security, data confidentiality, and integrity, proactively identifying and escalating risks where appropriate.

Skills & Experience:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Broad knowledge of enterprise technologies including cloud hosting, systems integration, and source control.

Understanding of relational database (e.g. MS SQL, Dataverse).

Working knowledge of APIs, integration patterns, and cloud environments.

Experience of mentoring, coaching or leading other developers.

Familiarity and ability to upskill with modern tools, development techniques, and delivery practices.

Strong attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset.

Understanding of common security issues and mitigation strategies.

Effective communication and collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Essential Criteria:

Experience developing and deploying enterprise low code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform.

An understanding of developing through Power Automate, SQL and C#

Basic training and knowledge of SAP BTP low code solutioning

Desirable Criteria:

Knowledge of developer languages including but not limited to; VB.NET, Java, Python, Ruby, HTML, JSON, XML, and XAML

Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem including SharePoint, OneDrive, and Excel.

Hybrid working at HMRC
