Hi, do criminal investigators (FIS) Work standard 9-5 Monday / Friday?

Do Criminal Investigators have the option to choose their working hours? or are they expected to work 9-5 Monday to Friday? (subject to being flexible), would their be an option to work your hours in the evening / night?. Do investigators have a dedicated shift pattern?

Criminal Investigator role is not a standard 9-5 position. You’ll be expected to work outside HMRC standard operating hours, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Your work pattern can change at short notice and at times you’ll have to work longer hours.

To recompense for this, the role is eligible for a Flexibility Payment, which is paid monthly in addition to the standard salary. Here is a link to our careers site where you can find out more HMRC-Criminal Investigator | Civil Service Careers
