I would recommend having a look at the Civil Service behaviours. Linked here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/success-profiles/success-profiles-civil-service-behaviours

Think about how you have demonstrated these behaviours at work, university or in your personal life. For example, how have you demonstrated leadership? You might have organised or lead a group outside of work or chaired a society at university, or you might have led a team at work on a particular project. Think to yourself, what are the particular challenges you faced, how did you respond, and how has that informed your leadership skills in the present? This can be a daunting task to think about only in your brain, so I would recommend mind-mapping it out on a piece of paper. As you write these out, think about the STAR method - how would you talk about these examples you have of demonstrating these behaviours in a concise manner that highlights the particular strengths you have?

I think the key thing to do if the strengths interview feels daunting is to do some planning beforehand. If you have thought about the Civil Service behaviours and your examples beforehand, it will be much easier to think calmly in the interview. Best of luck!
