Thanks for your message. The good news is that many roles in HMRC are designed with flexibility in mind. Most jobs allow for part-time working or job shares, which could work well around your placement and study schedule.
You might also want to explore roles in admin support, which are often more flexible and a great way to build wider experience across the department. Depending on your interests, there are also opportunities in areas like digital services or policy where flexibility is often available and many teams offer hybrid.
That said, if your upcoming placement is going to be full-time, continuing in your current role might be a challenge. In that case, it’s really important to speak to your manager as soon as possible. One option might be to consider a career break, depending on your circumstances and business needs.
Thank you for your warm and informative response. Please can you give me a link for admin and support roles in Manchester.Thank you in advance.
If you haven't done so already set up an account on Civil Service Jobs, you can search jobs by location, job roles and set up alerts https://www.civilservicejobs.service.gov.uk/csr/search.cgi?department=183922
