    May I ask what is the difference between grades (6 or 7) when apply for jobs through civil service portal?

    These are different grades.

    G6 is the highest before moving to Director level

    G7

    SO

    HO

    O

    AO


    in terms of the difference, it would generally be overall responsibility but roles an expectations will vary across civil service departments and roles
