Is CIPD a must have requirement for the Organisational Design and Development Lead

Anonymous asked a question to Daniel W.

Have significant experience in the space as a consultant and within a HR organisation, but did not choose to pursue professional qualifications - want to understand if submitting a resume is worthwhile or this is a hard requirement for the role

Thanks for getting in touch with your query. I have searched this role on Civil Service jobs and found a vacancy under Reference number 486404. Under the qualifications sub-heading it reads the following:

"Holds relevant postgraduate-level qualifications such as CIPD accreditation, Civil Service (CS) practitioner status, or equivalent in Organisation Development and Human Resources."

It looks as though CIPD is one qualification you might need in order to progress, but the short answer would be no, you don't explicitly require a CIPD qualification, but you would need another recognised qualification relating to Organisation Development and Human Resource. If you do not have any formal qualifications to this effect, you likely be sifted out at application.
