Anonymous asked a question to Kyra ..
To continue, i’m asking after watching the video and you saying it opens up to a range of careers. I’m just curious as to what roles this would be!
We do work from home - HMRC have a 60/40 office requirement, where 60% of time is to be spent in the office. There are reasonable adjustments available where appropriate. Part way through the scheme, you 'stream' into a roll in one of the HMRC directorates where you will finish the scheme. After you graduate off the scheme, you remain in this role. Being on the TSP provides you with the relevant skills to then apply for a variety of different technical and policy roles in the different directorates after you graduate, for example, you could be a Direct or Indirect Tax Specialist, a Policy Advisor, a Caseworker or a Civil Investigator or you could be a Customer Compliance Manager or Regime Lead.
