Hi, I am currently a teacher but want a job that is either connected to teaching or something completely different. I have looked at many hmrc jobs but don’t feel confident I meet the essential criteria!

Hello,
As a teacher, you will already have many transferable skills that are highly valued in HMRC, such as communication, problem-solving, influencing, coaching others, managing workloads, and adapting to change. Those skills can be just as important as technical knowledge.
Many people join HMRC from completely different professions, I'd encourage you to look at the skills and behaviours required for the roles rather than focusing on job titles. You may be surprised at how much of your experience already aligns. We do have entry level roles into HMRC at AO / O grade.
