As Business Analyst you will be working on HMRC's enterprise CRM, working closely with a Product Manager to capture, understand and analyse both business needs and customer needs for our future eCRM products.

Key Responsibilities

Define and capture requirements

  • Gather, analyse, document and validate business, user, functional and nonfunctional requirements; manage these throughout the discovery lifecycle using HMRC standards.
  • Clarify problems and shape solutions
  • Work with architects, product teams and operational experts to clearly articulate problem statements and support early design direction across DPP workstreams (Digital Format Design, Mailbox, Digital OptOut, Infrastructure & API modernisation, SEES

Stakeholder engagement

  • Engage proactively with programme stakeholdersincluding CDIO teams to ensure requirements reflect organisational, customer, and legislative needs.

Support discovery activities

  • Contribute to journey mapping, process understanding, data exploration, and the assessment of user and operational needs across the programme’s digital communication and mailbox journeys.

Essential skills:

  • Experience of Business analysis or using Analysis skills in a similar environment
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplined team within an IT environment
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Analysis tools and techniques
  • You must have a solution focused approach with a passion for continuous improvement
  • You must be able to solve problems in an efficient and effective manner
  • Considerable professional working experience of building and maintaining positive relationships

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working with user needs and implementation of solutions to meet user needs that are built on low code technologies (the specific technology isn't as important)

Expected Outputs

  • Business requirement and acceptance criteria pack (Epics, features, user stories) and (Functional and Non functional req)
  • Current state and future state analysis
  • Traceability and benefit mapping
    Discovery workshop inputs and output support, options analysis to support trade off decisions
