Role Purpose

The Delivery Support Officer plays a critical role in building and embedding the delivery function for the CCaaS programme. The role underpins the delivery effort by maintaining plans, governance artefacts, supplier readiness evidence, and ensuring smooth information flow between HMRC workstreams and the incoming supplier

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Delivery & Mobilisation Manager in designing and setting up programme delivery structures, including governance pathways, reporting cycles, escalation routes, and delivery artefact templates.
  • Coordinate ceremonies and routines required to stand up the delivery function: standups, checkpoints, supplier engagement meetings and crossworkstream syncs.
  • Track and chase actions across internal workstreams and supplier teams.
  • Maintain central repositories, folders and document stores with strong version control.
  • Produce highquality minutes, action logs, slide decks and mobilisation packs.
  • Support preparation of updates for senior governance boards and assurance forums.
  • Maintain decision logs and dependency maps used across the programme.
  • Track supplier readiness against contractual milestones and acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain evidence logs for supplier deliverables, onboarding requirements and compliance submissions.
  • Assist in reviewing supplier plans, identifying gaps and escalating risks.
  • Support evidence gathering and submissions for assurance, security and governance pathways.
  • Log and monitor risks, issues and dependencies across mobilisation workstreams.
  • Highlight slippage, blockers or inconsistencies to the Mobilisation Manager.
  • Provide supporting analysis to ensure accuracy of reporting and readiness dashboards.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in supporting the establishment of a delivery function, particularly in mobilising new programmes or onboarding suppliers.
  • Good understanding of project management concepts (RAID, governance, milestones, assurance).
  • Strong organisational and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Comfortable analysing supplier documentation for gaps or inconsistencies.
  • Confident using MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and project tracking tools.
  • Proactive, structured and capable of working at pace.
