Description

  • HMRC are looking to identify a Junior IT Project Manager / IT Project Support Officer to play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects within a largescale transformation programme that will see the move of our existing SAP ECC6 platform (known as the Enterprise Tax Management Platform) to S4Hana. The junior IT PM / Support Officer will a play a key role in supporting the delivery of IT projects. The role will ensure the smooth operation of project processes, maintenance if project artifacts, and management of governance activity. There will also be opportunity to delivery small scale IT Changes


Role and Responsibilities

  • Support project managers with the production, management and reporting of project management artefacts including plans, RAID/ CRAIDD logs, financial trackers and status reports
  • Co-ordinate and maintain core project governance processes to ensure compliance with required standards and controls
  • Assist with project scheduling, milestone tracking and updates to delivery plans
  • Maintain accurate and up to date project documentation in line with HMRC Project Delivery Standards
  • Preparation of weekly / monthly status reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Support the ongoing maintenance of the CRAIDD, ensuring risks, issues and dependencies are captured, monitored and escalated where appropriate
  • Assist in tracking and forecasting IT costs associated with the project
  • Co-ordinate meetings, workshops, governance reviews, and follow-up actions as required
  • Delivery of small scale IT Changes


Essential Criteria

  • Experience supporting large scale projects or programmes, ideally within an IT/digital environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with production and management of project documentation, RAID management, and execution of governance processes.
  • Experience establishing project governance processes and structures and embedding onto an IT enabled programme if work
  • Experience co-ordinating small IT Projects
