Your time spent with us short or long term will be invaluable - your skills and expertise are needed to deliver the largest digital and transformation projects in Government. There really couldn’t be a better time to join HMRC for your new contract opportunity!

Contract - 6 Months

This is an exciting opportunity to join HMRC’s Insider Risk Mitigation Team (IRMT) in driving continuous improvement across the wider HMRC, and to ensure HMRC strive in their efforts to change the culture of personnel security across the business. The successful candidates will report to a Senior Officer(s) within the IRMT.

Role Description

  • Being responsible for gathering of threat data through a variety of channels and conduct trend analysis to identify insider risk themes and patterns.
  • Being responsible for secretariat duties for IRMT working groups pertaining to all IRMT’s working groups, boards, and workshops.
  • Monitoring IRMT’s alignment to the overarching Security strategy.
  • Supporting continual improvement work to reduce/mitigate insider risk within HMRC.
  • Conducting any other duties within the IRMT as necessary.

Essential Criteria

  • Holds current and valid National Security Vetting at SC-level (minimum).
  • Experience organising and facilitating workshops and managing stakeholder relationships, including at senior levels.
  • Basic ability to identify and translate high-level requirements into realistic action plans.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of risk management.
  • An adaptable working style able to balance competing, sometimes urgent or ad-hoc priorities.
  • Good proficiency with Office 365.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organisational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyse datasets and produce meaningful threat and risk outputs.
