Software Engineering Learning Facilitator

We are seeking an experienced and engaging Software Engineering Learning Facilitator to deliver high-quality learning and development programmes for groups of 10 to 20 aspiring and early-career software engineers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating technical learning, supporting practical skill development, coaching learners through structured capability programmes, and helping participants apply learning within real software delivery environments.

This role combines technical software engineering expertise with excellent training, coaching and facilitation skills. The facilitator will create an inclusive learning environment that builds learner confidence, capability and readiness for software engineering roles.

Key Responsibilities

Learning Delivery

• Deliver instructor-led training sessions, workshops and bootcamps.
• Facilitate both virtual and face-to-face learning activities.
• Deliver learning across core software engineering topics including:
  • Programming fundamentals
  • Software development lifecycle
  • Version control (Git)
  • Testing and quality practices
  • Secure software development
  • Agile delivery
  • CI/CD concepts
  • Cloud and modern engineering practices
  • Adapt delivery approaches to suit different learner needs and experience levels.

Learning Design Support

• Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of learning materials.
• Update content to reflect industry trends and organisational technologies.
• Work with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and relevance.
• Develop reusable exercises, case studies and technical challenges.

Assessment and Feedback

• Assess learner progress against defined learning outcomes.
• Review practical exercises, projects and capability evidence.
• Provide constructive and actionable feedback.
• Maintain learner records and progress information.
• Contribute to programme evaluation and continuous improvement activities.
