Career path

About Joseph B.

Current Position
I currently recruit for both contract and permanent opportunities across HMRC, with a main focus on CCG Transformation and Fraud Investigation Services (FIS), providing vacancy holders with advice and guidance on how to get the best possible outcome for all their recruitment campaigns. I help shape their job adverts, using my market knowledge and years of experience to generate an advert which is appealing to the target market and support the vacancy holders throughout the entire permanent recruitment process from making the job advert to appointing the successful candidate. When working on contract vacancies, I am there to source and sift the candidates, headhunting top talent for specific roles that require a more niche skillset and helping vacancy holders fill the gap that they potentially have in their workforce with some temporary individuals.
Main Motivation
I enjoy working for HMRC as no day is ever the same. Working closely with CCG Transformation and Fraud Investigation Services (FIS) brings exciting roles which goes beyond my original expectations. The culture of the business is an encouraging and inclusive environment, providing plenty of support and guidance to be able to adapt as an individual, as well as being able to provide a platform where I can further develop my skillset and providing a pathway to success.

Greatest Achievement
Although I haven't been at HMRC for long, one of my proudest achievements is working with Fraud Investigation Service to shape and align our expectations with the departments on the best practice to successfully support their vacancy holders on recruitment campaigns. Through word-of-mouth and our stakeholders being happy with the service provided, we are now seeing a great deal of trust being put into myself and the team to best provide the correct support needed for successful campaigns.
