Current position
I work as a compliance caseworker, ensuring individuals and businesses meet their tax obligations fairly and accurately. I bring professionalism, integrity, respect, and innovation to every case, helping protect public revenue and build trust in the tax system. At the same time, I complete formal learning in each of the existent tax regimes and continue to develop my compliance skills through the Quality Assurance Framework.
Main motivation
I think the people around me make the Tax Professional Programme enjoyable, we're part of the same journey and this brings us together. The work and learning opportunities are really good too, because it teaches us to be problem-solvers, analytical-thinkers, great communicators and become well-rounded leaders. It also allows us to see the bigger impact we can have as Tax Specialists.

Greatest achievement
Moving to the UK 15 years ago and completing my university degree in Finance and Accounting, in a language different from the one I grew up speaking most of my life, is one of my greatest professional achievements. I've led teams in busy environments in the hospitality industry. I've changed the culture of a payroll and accountancy practice to everyday accountability and great customer service. I worked in recruitment and it was commonplace to feel a sense of achievement, providing specialist support to students with learning difficulties, health problems or disabilities at different universities across the UK. As a compliance worker, I feel a sense of achievement every time I close a case. When I make sure the right tax was paid, I give assurances to our customers that they are doing the right thing. When I correct errors made by customers, I collect tax that otherwise would not have been paid, and this pays for our vital public services.
